Good Deeds Pearls To Be A Muslim

A Glorious Routine for the Believer

Based on the things Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ has said He loves in the generous Quran, here is a road map for the believer:

1. Tahajjud: Wake Up to Pray

Spend a part of the night in prayer. Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ loves those who resist the sweetness of sleep and get up to pray in fear and hope. Especially best in the last hours of the night.

Quran 3:17; 3:113; 12:79; 17:79; 20:130; 26:218; 32:16, 39:9; 51:17; 73:6; 73:20; 76:26;

(They are) those who are patient, those who are true (in Faith, words, and deeds), and obedient with sincere devotion in worship to Allah. Those who spend and those who pray and beg Allah’s Pardon in the last hours of the night.

Quran 3:17

Is one who is obedient to Allah, prostrating himself or standing (in prayer) during the hours of the night, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the Mercy of his Lord (like one who disbelieves)? Say: “Are those who know equal to those who know not?” It is only men of understanding who will remember (i.e. get a lesson from Allah’s Signs and Verses).

Quran 39:9

Their sides forsake their beds, to invoke their Lord in fear and hope, and they spend (in charity in Allah’s Cause) out of what We have bestowed on them.

Quran 32:16

The prophet (saw) is said to have a routine where he wakes up and prays 10 rak’ah then the 3 witr, 2 voluntary prayers of the dawn fajr, then he rests on his side till the Adhan calls for Fajr. Before Fajr, after the Tahajjud, it is said that he may need to bath the ghusl purification bath.

2. Recite Quran at Dawn

Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ loves those who recite Quran at dawn. So during and after Fajr till the sun rises, read and recite the Quran. During this hour the recitation is “well witnessed.”

Perform the prayer at the sinking of the sun to the darkening of the night and the recital of dawn; surely the recital of dawn is witnessed.

Quran 17:78

3. Give Charity

Give from what you have been endowed to the needy. Do not be afraid to give. The more you give the more you get in return. Allah calls charity, lending Him money. This is the most blessed loan with instant and delayed returns in manyfold.

Their sides forsake their beds, to invoke their Lord in fear and hope, and they spend (in charity in Allah’s Cause) out of what We have bestowed on them. 17. No soul can imagine what delights are kept in store for them as a reward for what they used to do.

Quran 32:16-17

Who is it that would loan Allāh a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?

Quran 57:11

And Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ knows best.
